Savor the daydreams of the mundane
Bask in the depth of the banal
For as the furnace of a dusty desert wind
Still blasts my sun soarched skin
So does the caress of a love once known
To cherish ever bit of a new tapped wellspring
To savor all of the little moments that I once hurried along
To live the dream of quiet moments, and soft smiles
To inhale her tresses rich from a life scarred and lived
To linger just a bit longer
To drink down greedily of Aphrodite’s heady brew
To make what time we have left stretch out
Into a succession of mundane daydreams

I agree Frederic. It is a beautiful poem. I'm glad you post your poetry every so often. It makes a really nice break from politics. Thank you!
This is very beautiful Frederick.
